Safekept 05:07
I've never seen the beams Standing in the corners Never noticed the dormers Had inner wooden seams I've never seen my face Staring from my window Let's get up at slow pace Time to be a hero Though dawn is still familiar Sunlight is peculiar Though water's sweltering It leaves me shivering And when it's dark again Well you see no difference Emotions, appearance They both remain the same Close your eyes Perception's deceit Realize Inside you defeat Compromise Torches are still lit Empathize Hypocrite You're safekept Safekept Safekept Safekept Stay, kill the light Lock your doors Fear the blight Outside I cannot lose my track again The second hand's standing still The river runs, strong's my will The river runs, it keeps me sane The light is unseen at the end We know it's waiting us there The river runs, I still care The river runs, it keeps me sane Some hands will never reach Some will blindly dive in Others will think they teach While they are forgetting From the eyes in the air Letters are distorted The further reported And the less I can bare All the lies Open wide and eat Don't be wise The poison's so sweet Advertise Repeat and repeat Emphasize Fear is bittersweet Close your eyes Perception's deceit Realize Inside you defeat Compromise Torches are still lit Empathize Hypocrite You're safekept Safekept Safekept Safekept Stay, kill the light Lock your doors Fear the blight Outside I cannot lose my track again The second hand's standing still The river runs, strong's my will The river runs, it keeps me sane The light is unseen at the end We know it's waiting us there The river runs, I still care The river runs, it keeps me sane

Obsession 04:29
Invisible obligation Making me feel left behind A cage of my own creation With dopamine as bars Never-ending starvation Slightly relieved by action A mostly positive guardhouse As part of the blissful disguise Understanding the stakes Simply not awake So hard to reject Easy to forget Yielding a result Liking the output Will try to stay put And rest a while The more your work becomes an obsession The harder it gets for you to reason The more hours you spend in creation The less you have for perpetuation The weight of space-time distortion Taking away years of life The warp of my own projection Messing with my sense of time Twisting with pain, palm of my feet Up to my fingertip Physical image of psychotic state Locking those thoughts in my head Understanding the stakes Simply not awake So hard to reject Easy to forget Yielding a result Liking the output Will try to stay put And rest a while The more your work becomes an obsession The harder it gets for you to reason The more hours you spend in creation The less you have for perpetuation

Dada 04:38
Let me sing about an old cliché That from a road we've strayed away A road we used to walk under the sun Somehow we took another turn And then, there's this change we have been promised Maybe it's something we have missed We all thought we came out of the obscure But good intention's not always a cure All the pain on Earth is not worth this Dada dadada Dada dadada Why should I care when you're so good to me Dada dadada Dada dadada Ain't like I'm the one to whom you should show mercy Dada dadada Dada dadada You keep telling me it's not worth my time Dada dadada Dada dadada Do you ever read between the lines? Between the screeching and the violin I have a hard time listening The same escape that takes me close to home Is pulling me the other direction All the pain on Earth is not worth this Dada dadada Dada dadada Why should I care when you're so good to me Dada dadada Dada dadada Ain't like I'm the one to whom you should show mercy Dada dadada Dada dadada You keep telling me it's not worth my time Dada dadada Dada dadada Do you ever read between the lines?

Animals Sing 04:41
How, how is it going The tears, the beat, the feeling We cannot perceive at all May I assume this is normal? So how, how are you doing We're here, that's it, and we won't leave too Tell me, is that okay with you? The lack of answer, what does it all mean? It seems that when we were brought in together We weren't intended to live in unity But this separation is for the better In primal form it would've meant harmony Is it vain, all this questioning We cannot help but see with our eyes You know, I think we'd be surprised Surprised to hear that we all can sing It seems that when we were brought in together We weren't intended to live in unity But this separation is for the better In primal form it would've meant harmony It seems that when we were brought in together We weren't intended to live in unity But this separation is for the better In primal form it would've meant harmony We sing along with you You sing along with us We sing along with you You sing along with us We all sing with one voice We all sing with one voice We all sing with one voice

Led 09:46
Because the data in my mind is so meticulous We'll have you Conform to my grids, and stripped of all your wit 'Cause I'm asking you to understand that you're unfit Because the pattern in my eyes is so scrupulous We'll have you Removed from office, tied in the basement I'll keep the profits and save you the embarrassment The smaller the better yet nothing should go through the net You'll bend the knee, and we'll make sure you don't forget Even if you rectify, or falsify, or deny, that it's a sin The smaller the better, we'll fit you right in You won't be left out 'Cause let's face it, you enjoy being led, being led We are the progress, the next step in evolution We are the answer, the promising bright horizon We hold the key to a treasure of pure salvation We make our way towards the light of our extinction You're either with us Or you're against us Know what's best for us All hail us The ancient treasure of our blood is a joke Because all of its keepers are corrupted and bloke What have they done, anyway, that measures short-sightedly Just blasphemy I won't allow the past to stand in the way of the future It is not a cure It's a curse that fuels the fools, that rules the schools Of disgust, and oppression of makeups You don't deserve your lifeline If all you ever run by is our dime It's never coming down You'd better fall in line Or else we'll take care of your business and your crown I used to think like your kind once Until I realised that my purpose was a bunce But that's okay Because I am more than happy to show you the way As you enjoy being led We are the progress, the next step in evolution We are the answer, the promising bright horizon We hold the key to a treasure of pure salvation We make our way towards the light of our extinction You're either with us Or you're against us Know what's best for us All hail us

Loose Lid 04:22
Cast it away Dig deep inside Force it astray Bring it down, forget it all Erase it up Chain to a ball Burn it all up Oblivion Lobotomize Homogenize Apostatize Extract your intimacy Your fallacy Your fantasy Conspiracy Ending now Asphyxiation Ripping my face off Suppressed, make me cough Ego castration And please, please let me Rise above it all Close it, close it, close it, close it It's not tearing me Only teasing me It's not stopping me Only failing me I deny all of Its existence, so Lock it, lock it, lock it, lock it Lie above this vastness Hallowed be this madness Safely, super-myself All under I repel These calumnies These lies you speak No more, no more, no more, I cast you out, out of my mind Identity Eternity Enough, enough, enough, you're me no more, no more I'm found

Birdwatching 08:21
Question infinity Instability Ambiguity all we see Our hesitation Our fixation Over opinions through division When the veil of doubt is here We'll turn to you to understand The intricacies of our land Through watching you the picture's clear When light is out and sight is gone We'll count on you to take us on What brought us here, what binds us all The answers that we're looking for Dispose of vanity Otiosity Make sense of empathy, be receptive Value your decisions Your opinions Strengthen identity, all you see When the veil of doubt is here We'll turn to you to understand The intricacies of our land Through watching you the picture's clear When light is out and sight is gone We'll count on you to take us on What brought us here, what binds us all The answers that we're looking for

about

Jeyem Nancy, France

My name is Julien Marchetti, abbreviated into Jeyem. I am a vocalist and multi instrumentalist from Nancy, France. I started writing music in 2011 for my former band, Left Alone, and debuted a solo career in 2019.
I come from a mostly rock and metal background, and I would say that the songs I write are a mix of progressive and avant-garde music, sometimes borrowing elements from jazz and blues.
